BEIJING:Chinese yarn makers are busy preparing for a new anti-dumping investigation launched by India, according to China's Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Textiles.

Companies making yarn have contacted lawyers and are ready to submit materials to the Indian agency in charge on July 28.

The number of enterprises that will respond to the charge is not yet known, as the Indian Government hasn't revealed the specific targets of its investigation.

Since Indian anti-dumping procedures are not clear, the chamber is negotiating with the Indian side and suggesting they extend the investigation period.

India launched a probe earlier this month into the alleged "dumping" of Chinese silk yarn, after a petition was filed by the country's Central Silk Board. This is the third anti-dumping investigation India has initiated against Chinese silk products in just 12 months.
