According to Ministry of Commerce’s price supervision system for cocoon and silk, ex-factory price for machine-reeled raw silk 3A exports has rose by 36455.57.yuan to reach 270666.67 yuan per ton at January-end against 234211.1 yuan per ton for last December-end. The growth rate is 15.57 per cent.
Ex-factory price of machine-reeled raw silk 3A for domestic sale has rose by 47602.08 yuan to reach 284335.18 yuan per ton at January-end against 236733.1 yuan per ton for last December-end. The growth rate is 20.11 per cent.
Ex-factory price for machine-reeled raw silk 5A exports has rose by 41509.23yuan to reach 289266.53 yuan per ton at January-end against 247757.3 yuan per ton for last December-end. The growth rate is 16.75 per cent.
Ex-factory price of machine-reeled raw silk 5A for domestic sale has rose by 25737.97 yuan to reach 288346.07 yuan per ton at January-end against 262608.1 yuan per ton for last December-end. The growth rate is 9.8 per cent.
The raw silk market sentiment shows an obvious uptrend in January.
Dried cocoon price for domestic sale has rose by 3.18 yuan to reach 65.28 yuan per kg at January-end against 62.1 yuan per ton for last December-end. The growth rate is 5.12 per cent.
Currently, insufficient dried cocoon stocks in most silk reeling mills pushed up silk material prices. It is expected for dried cocoon price to climb higher.
