China: Supplementary Circular on Buying Raw Silk as State Reserves

According to a circular distributed by China Economy Industry Development Corporation dated on Feb.8, 2007, as approved by China State Cocoon & Silk Coordination Office, the deadline for the corporation to buy spot raw silk as state reserves is extended to Feb. 28th. The price will rise by 5000 yuan to start at 200,000 yuan per ton and will be determined by quality. Minimum quantity for one purchase contract is still 30 tons of raw silk.
The circular also requires all suppliers to make deliveries before end of March.
