China: Insect pests found out from imported cocoons through Zhoushan customs for first time

Recently, Zhoushan Import and Export Commodities Inspection & Quarantine Bureau checked out live insect pests from imported silkworm cocoons through Zhoushan Customs.
Zhoushan Import and Export Commodities Inspection & Quarantine Bureau said most of the pests are tribolium castaneum and Dermestes ater domesticus Germer. It's the first time for Zhoushan Custom to find out live pests form imported animals.
The cocoons were imported from India by Zhejiang Golden Eagle Company valued at USD 76295.7, a total of 9.7815 tons.
