The hike for cocoon purchasing price in 2005 is a lucrative factor for stimulating farmers’ enthusiasm in silkworm raising this year.
The order work for purchasing spring silkworm eggs has finished successfully till now. The latest statistics from Jiaxing Agriculture Bureau show that farmers in the region have ordered 477, 000 boxes of spring silkowrm eggs, 12.2 percent than same period last year. For much preparation is made in advance, spring silkworm egg supply and demand is expected to keep balance this year.
