According to figures from Jiaxing agricultural sector, the average price for spring silkworm cocoons and summer silkworm cocoons this year in the region is 19.94 yuan and 14.18 yuan per kg respectively, a big decline from last year’s level. Farmers’ enthusiasm in silkworm raising this autumn is so affected by this.
Latest statistics show that the total order volume of autumn silkworm eggs dropped by 7.45 percent compared to same period last year.
