According to latest figures from China Customs, in Oct. 2008 China exported 763 tons raw silk, showing a 21.34 percent reduction from the previous month and a 20.02 percent drop from October of last year.

In October China’s raw silk export value was 19.99 million US dollars, showing a 21.69 percent reduction from the previous month and a 15.85 percent drop from October of last year. The average price was 26.193 thousand US dollars.

China exported 11779 tons raw silk from Jan. to Oct. of this year, 3.12 percent higher than same period last year.
