The Department of Commerce, Ministry of commerce & industry of India published its final findings on the antidumping investigation concerning silk fabrics 20-100gms per meter imported from People’s Republic of China on November 16th 2006.
The newly published conclusion reduced the minimum price by 20%-30% comparing to that in the preliminary findings. Also the authority excluded Tasar product from investigation, a major category included in the former proceeding. However, some unfair treatments to all the Chinese exporters were also been found in the findings such as the refusal of granting Chinese exporters the market economy treatment. CCCT now is preparing documents to submit to the Indian authority to make a final stride for defense.
