China to sell raw silk stockpiles in a public bid to silk producing, processing and trade companies next month to ensure the quality safety of the national raw silk reserves. According to China Cocoon and Silk Coordination Office last Friday, the state will sell raw silk totaling 581 tons from its 2007 reserves in the JIangsuWujiang Warehouse. It seems the state is likely to pressure silk prices, however, it depends on the market impact.
