Export: The amount of silk filament was 371.2 thousand US dollars, surging 115.67% month-on-month and 223.28% YOY, with whose quantity rising 16.04% month-on-month to 24.9 tons and 95.81% YOY; the amount of silk fabrics was 4.2283 million US dollars, rising 1.33% and dropping 26.98% from the previous month and year respectively; The amount of silk madeups was 14.4677 million US dollars, a month-on-month decrease of 24.74% and a fall of 40.86% YOY.

2. Silk products trade from January to September

From January to September, the trade value of Thai silk totaled 458 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 20.84%. Among them, the import value was 201 million US dollars, down 17.87% YOY; the export value was 257 million US dollars,  down 23.02% YOY(the same below). Details were as follows:

The composition of imported products amounted to 2.7512 million US dollars of silk filament, dropping 55.99%, with whose quantity falling 35.69% to 224.31 tons; silk fabrics amounted to 96.0754 million US dollars, with a drop of 16.35%; Silk madeups amounted to 102 million US dollars, declining 17.36%.

The major sources of imports were China (97.302 million US dollars, down 4.45% , accounting for 48.38%), Vietnam (19.2959 million US dollars, down 9.12%, accounting for 9.59%), Taiwan (16.1053 million US dollars, down 48.91% , accounting for 8.01%), Hong Kong (15.1828 million US dollars, down 2.52% , accounting for 7.55%), Cambodia (11.6667 million US dollars, down 4.67%, accounting for 5.8%). The total proportion of the 5 sources above was 79.33%.

The composition of export products amounted to 2.4639 million US dollars of silk filament, a year-on-year decrease of 35.66%, with whose quantity dropping 25.17% to 143.86 tons; silk fabrics amounted to 36.3258 million US dollars, down 34.25%; and silk madeups were 218 million US dollars, a decrease of 20.58% .

The major export markets were Belgium (52.8348 million US dollars, down 2.22%, accounting for 20.55%), the United States (48.9691 million US dollars, down 23.04%, accounting for 19.05%), Japan (20.962 million US dollars, down 21.16%, accounting for 8.15%), China (17.3674 million US dollars, down 34.81%, accounting for 6.76%), Vietnam (11.8946 million US dollars, down 41.5%, accounting for 4.63%). The five markets above accounted for 59.14% of the total.
