The import quantity was 5.11 tons, surging 4630.56% and dropping 64.10% from the previous year and month respectively, with a market share of 31.13%.
Silk fabrics: imported from China amounted to 5.1314 million US dollars, up 9.13% and 26.18% from the previous year and month respectively, with a market share of 27.51%, ranking first in the source of imports.
Silk madeups: imported from China amounted to 94 million US dollars, up 28.78% and 3.12% from the previous year and month respectively, accounting for 27.99% of its market share.
2.Silk products imported from China by US in Jan.-May.
From January to May, the U.S. imported 542 million US dollars of silk products from China, up 13.40% year on year, accounting for 30.35% of its global imports. Among them:
Silk filament: imported from China amounted to 1.2992 million US dollars,up 271.95% year on year,with whose market share totaled 29.42%, ranking the first in the import sources of silk filament. The import quantity was 46.13 tons, an increase of 592.08% from the previous year and a marked share of 49.9%.
Silk fabrics: imported from China amounted to 21.8615 million US dollars, up 2.68% from a year ago, with a marked share of 27.21%, and ranking the first in the import sources of silk fabrics.
Silk madeups: imported from China amounted to 519 million US dollars, up 13.71% from a year ago, with a marked share of 30.5%, ranking the first in import sources of silk madeups.

Silk filament: imported from China amounted to 1.2992 million US dollars, an increase of 271.95% year on year, and a market share of 29.42%, ranking the first in the import sources of silk filament. The quantity was 46.13 tons, an increase of 592.08% YOY, and a market share of 49.9%.
Silk fabrics: imported from China amounted to 2.1945 million US dollars, a decline of 53.68% year on year, and a market share of 11.33%, ranking the fourth in the import sources of silk fabrics. The quantity was 312.2 thousand square meters, falling 84.37% from a year before.
