The original SR-3020 decompression automatic cocoon-boiling machines have worked well in silk reeling production and been widely promoted in 11 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. To meet larger-output enterprises’ demand, Sichuan Silk Research Institute boost the cooperation on the research and development of the higher-capacity type SR-3030 machine with Yizhou Jiafeng Silk Industry Co., Ltd., a leading agricultural industrialization enterprise in Guangxi, realizing institute-enterprise’s win-win. The new machines were put into production in August 2021 in Jiafeng Silk Company.
To come out a higher-capacity cocoon-boiling machine reaching 30kg , researchers need to solve the problems on tank capacity augmentation, cocoon boiling uniformity, and quality ensurance. After repeated calculation, design, testing of the circulatory system which is consisted of tank, vacuum, steam, water, etc. and the research of new technique procedure, the researchers has finally realized the rational energy ratio of steam and vacuum and the precise temperature control in the higher-capacity tank. The maximum capacity of the main tank can be 32kg with cocoon-boiling capacity of 135 kg per hour(dry cocoon), which has improved 1.5 times on production efficiency compared with SR-3020 and can satisfy 6-7 groups of automatic silk reeling machines to produce 20/22 raw silk. Thus the target has been achieved.
Under the instruction of Sichuan Silk Research Institute’s technique group and the application of the new cocoon-boiling procedure, Yizhou Jiafeng Silk Industry Co., Ltd. has verified the new type SR-3030 machine which can meet (dry/fresh) cocoon boiling demand after 8 months’ operation. Compared with long cage V-type cocoon-boiling machine, the cocoons boiled by SR-3030 can produce 5A and above high level raw silk with better quality, which shows the indicators like cleaness up 0.3-0.8 point, neatness up 0.4-0.7 point and cocoon usage down 3-6kg. The owner of the enterprise sincerely said: “the decompression cocoon-boiling machine is indeed a good helper for the production of high-grade raw silk.
