According to the market research data of the National Bureau of Statistics and Shangpu Consulting Group, the output of silk fabrics in China amounted to 245 million meters in the first ten months of 2022, up -8.80% year-on-year(the same below). In 2021, the national silk fabric production reached 386 million meters, up -2.30%. From 2010 to 2021, the total output of silk fabrics in China was 7401 million meters, with an average of 617 million meters a year, the compound growth rate being -0.96%. Among them, the output of silk fabrics in 2013 was the highest, reaching 936 million meters, up -1.70%.
In recent years, the fastest growth of the national silk fabric output was in 2012, when the growth rate reached 10.40%. On the opposite, The slowest growth was in 2020, with an annual growth rate of only -18.30%.
